The Piano In The Room And The Blues
Mike’s latest solo album of recordings made at Falmouth Arts Centre in 2006. The UK release date coincides with Mike’s 90th birthday, March 21st.The album is on Werner Uehlinger’s new label, AlAy AG, which is based in Basel, Switzerland. The association with Werner, founder of Hat Hut Records, goes back to the release of On Duke’s Birthday in 1985. Album Information

Bell and Jackdaw Jackdaw and Bell
a music/theatre composition, with lyrics and scenario by Kate Westbrook, scored for voices and small ensemble, and the 15th Century bells of a disused church in Highampton, Devon. The piece is commissioned by Marcus Vergette, and is to be recorded for Nightjar Records for release on vinyl later in the year.
